Congratulations to Andrea Gonzalez, the 2019 recipient of the Yolo County Fallen Peace Officers Memorial Scholarship.
Herb Yip, YCRPOA Scholarship Committee member, is shown here presenting the award certificate to Andrea, who plans to pursue a career in law enforcement.
The YCRPOA has established a scholarship program to assist the further education of a graduating student from a high school in Yolo County. The scholarship is in the amount of $2,000.00.
The scholarship is to be used by the recipient for the purpose of furthering their education with the intent of entering into a law enforcement career (or related field,) whether it be Federal, State, County or City jurisdiction.
The YCRPOA scholarship is intended to benefit the student who does his/her best--not necessarily the best, i.e., the student who studies hard but is not necessarily at or near the top of their class; the student who willingly helps with various school activities although not necessarily a frequent leader; the student who shows respect and concern for their fellow students; in short, the contributing citizen.
Interested students should view and print the application information provided below. Those candidates who feel they qualify are encouraged to complete and submit their application in accordance with the instructions.
